USSSA uses a three (3) pool plus and double elimination
bracket as their format (Global uses a tier system). Pool play will begin Monday and continue
We will also conduct a coach's meeting Sunday afternoon at 3PM to talk
about bracket play. Although this meeting is not mandatory, you
will be responsible for any information disseminated.
Unfortunately, today was a constant fight with coolers and I'm not sure
why. Simply put, several adults where embarrassments to their
organization and frankly would have scolded their children for acting
that way. It was unbelievable!
I felt we were very clear in the coaches meeting was allowed or not
allowed. Therefore is how it will work for Sunday and Monday.
Most of you think the reason for the the strict cooler policy is to
drive concession sales. Actually the reason is because grown adults
can't be adults with what THEY bring in. In year's past, we have
escorted parent after parent from the park because they have brought in
adult beverages. Our policy is pretty simple, if we can not check
every cooler and everything in that cooler, we are NOT checking any
We will provide at least 2 coolers with community water somewhere
around the concession stand for players to refill their individual
water jugs. This is NOT meant for everyone in the park to
use...ONLY PLAYERS AND COACHES.
Players will be able to bring a personal water jugs, NO MORE THAN 2
QUARTS in size.
ONLY PLAYERS or those with documented medical conditions will be
allowed a small SOFTSIDED LUNCH BOX size cooler for ICE RAGS ONLY.
Those with documented medical condition or mothers with baby formula
will be allowed to bring something other than rags, such as
medicine, baby formula etc.
Parents and fans WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO BRING ANY COOLERS INTO THE
PARK. There will be NO DISCUSSION at the front gate.
Each person entering the park can bring in the THEIR drink, but bags
of stuff, purses full of drinks will no be allowed. We reserve
the right to search any and all bags.
